At the moment I have a lone pig living in a large indoor cage. I am moving soon and I will have a brick built shed to convert for her and a new friend or two. The house is rented so I can't be knocking out bricks and such but I will be laying some lino and setting up a big pig den. My current pig doesn't do multi level living so I just want to make good use of the floor space. I'm planning on using heat mats, the microwaveable kind, and bringing them in on really cold nights. What I'd like is for people to show me some photos of similar housing for some inspiration.

You may need to insulate the brick shed to really make it cosy out there, i know a lot of people insulate their wooden sheds, i don’t have my pigs outdoors but I'm sure someone else can come along with some ideas :) in the mean time, heres someone on youtube that keeps their piggies out in a brick outhouse type building, may give you some ideas :)

Try and install electricity - nothing fancy, a long extension lead should do the trick, that way, you can have heating and lighting, perfect for winter. ;)

All the other threads I read talk about ventilation being the most important thing. Surely if the shed is large this will not be an issue? How would I insulate it?

You can actually buy sheets of plywood with polystyrene insulation glued to the back (see picture). You could also by strips of wooden batten, screw them to the wall, fill the gaps with rolls of insulation, then nail sheets of standard plywood to the battens. ;)
