Cream has recently started constantly squeaking or bites his cage bars all day everyday.
I'll give him pellets, hay, veggies, cuddles which will keep him quiet for a while but then he'll just randomly start doing it.
Is there any reason why he does this?

Is he on his own? Sounds like he is craving attention. Are you able to provide him with a friend?

I have to agree - is he a single piggy? They can develop attention seeking behaviours that can become quite a nuisance because they get results.it is rarer in a couple, but some piggies like to get a constant supply of food and attention.

You will have to stay tough and ignore him until he stops because he's not getting any attention anymore. Just keep to firm feeding times and firm playtimes to restructure his day, so he learns that he cannot get everything at anytime.

Yeah he is
and no, he originally did have Cookie, however they didn't get on and had a fight and have been separate since (tried reintroducing a while back but no success!)
Cookie's cage is on top of his (no other space!) and they'll talk to eachother sometimes
He's only recently started this

so basically just ignore him and only give him attention when I usually would?

Right! Not easy for you - or him, but in the long run it is the only option for not letting him take over. Piggies are not stupid; they will stop if something is not giving them results.

Okay thank you! It's driving my boyfriend INSANE! I'm a bit more patient when it comes to it but when its constant its very annoying, especially early in the morning!
On the other hand, at least Cookie doesn't seem to do it much, he'll only quietly squeak!

Is taking him boar dating and finding a friend not an option? Just sounds like he's a little unhappy.... I am a big softy ! Maybe give him a soft toy to cuddle up to?

If you can put the cages next to each other so they can see each other. When my boy was on he's own he loved seeing he's Friday next door. They would interact with each other though the wire.

I would, but I'm too worried about the same thing happening again :/
I like the idea of a cuddly toy, I'll have to try it!

If they go boar dating then you have an excellent chance of it working. A lot of rescues offer this and it works very well. I just think he is trying to tell you he is very lonely... The soft toy can work well but may not be a long term resolution. I hope he settles.... Not good to annoy the other half lol! Good luck!

Hopefully it'll be fine! :)

There are four good guinea pig rescues in the wider Bristol area, so you are really spoilt for choice in finding a suitable companion.

The other option is to have him neutered by a good vet, so he could live with a dated rescue sow after a six weeks post op wait if you are worried about fall-outs. Once initial acceptance has happened, cross gender pairings are the most stable of them all. With the right vet, neutering is not a big op. We have got both a rescue locator and a piggy savvy vet locator on the top bar.

It sounds like your boy is bored and in need of more round-the-clock attention than you can give him in the long term.
