I have two girls Rupert and Jerry (they are both over 2 years old) every few weeks Rupert will rumble strut and Jerry and climb on her side and make the constant purring nose just strutting around the cage, but recently she started rumble strutting as per usual but it hasn’t gone away she has been constantly doing it for about 3 weeks now which is way way more than usual and poor Jerry just has to deal with it… does anyone know why she’s gone from only doing it for a few days to now 3 weeks straight ? thank you

:agr: Constant rumbling can indicate a hormonal problem so I would arrange a non urgent vet appointment for a check up for her.

Ovarian cysts caused these symptoms for my 4 year old girl. Once we started seeing crusty nipples and hair loss on her sides, it was confirmed. We treat with Lupron every few months. She isn’t a candidate for spaying. Luckily it works for her.

Kanga started off like this last November. At first it was only during her seasons, then it was for longer periods, by March this year it was constant. The only time she stopped was when she was asleep. The problem was that the vets thought it might not be ovarian cysts as she had none of the other signs. So it took me a long time to persuade them that a spay was necessary.
It was cysts, she had many tiny cysts on both ovaries. So I would advise keeping an eye on things, maybe keep a note of when/how long if she does it again.
The vet sent me a pic of her ovaries, I don't know if anyone would be interested in seeing that. Don't want to put it up if it will offend.

Id personally love to see it but I'll leave that up to the thread's author :) My pig isn't a candidate for spay (even if I had a vet to do it which I don't). If I did, Id want them to take pics!
