Constant humping! Sending me crazy!

Hi all,

we havnt been on here in so long and probably nobody is awake at this time but any help would really be appreciated. We have 2 trios made up of one neutered boy and 2 girls per cage, they have been bonded for well over 12 months and for no reason tonight patches our neutered boy has decided that he wants to constantly hump one of his girls. Yes we have seen him hump them before when the girls are in season etc but he has never been this bad and he will not leave her alone, he is terrrifying her! If we take cookie out he then tries to hump her sister oreo but he is still looking for cookie. He has honestly never been this bad before!

Please help! Any ideas?

My neutered boy can be pretty persistent too rolleyes (he now has 5 wives) however when he only had the two girlfriends he was much worse, whichever girl was in season, they couldn't even eat/drink without being pounced on - however things usually calmed down after several hours :{

Hopefully things will settle down soon for you - it's terrible hearing the girls screaming, but taking them away only frustrates the male more (in my opinion) and makes it worse - i try to ignore it and let it pass :red

Thank you both! No changes and they have always lived in cages side by side or one on top of the other, we originally had the 2 boys but that ended badly (almost blood drawn and us terrified they would kill each other if we left the room) so we had the boys neutered and we now have the 6 in the 2 seperate cages, hehe. He is coming up to 3 years old now which is why it was a bit of a shock his behaviour. We have been busy moving house and expecting our own human baby in the next few weeks so we abandoned the forums with no time, but its so great to have this resource and be able to come and ask for help!
I thought things had just settled down but it dosnt look like it as its all broken loose again!

I was in a pet shop yesterday and the 2 boys were humping. The lady got them out of the cage the persistent one had a bit of hay stuck in his boy bits. She removed that and olbas oiled them both...within seconds they were just friends again...xx
