Hello,
Sadly, we’ve recently lost our 6 year old male rescue piggy.

He died after a good life , but leaves his piggy friend alone. She is only 2 or 3 years old.

In the past we’ve lost a piggy and after successful bonding had a twosome again.

Due to personal circumstances not in a position to do this again and have been thinking about finding a herd nearby for our piggy to join . I just don’t feel right keeping a solo piggy.

What is your advice in this situation? I would obviously visit first and check on the home if I can find anyone looking to add a female.

This isn’t an easy or clear-cut decision by any stretch but know they are such social animals

Thanks

So sorry for your loss. It’s a really hard decision to make but you want the best life for your remaining piggie. I would firstly look for good rescues who will be willing to bond her with another lonesome piggy, a sow or a neuter boar who has come in and maybe lost their companion too.
You could also add details about her and a photo so someone on here might offer your little lady a home. Add details about if you can travel and what distance etc. Any details about her etc

Good luck!

I agree with the advice @Bill & Ted has given you.
So sorry for your loss.
I think you are clearly a very loving owner who only wants the best for the piggy, no matter how hard it is on your heart.
Holding you in my heart ❤️
