Has anyone's guinea pig had a conscious blood test done please? How was it?

None of mine have. Our vet does not do conscious blood tests. He said that piggies veins are very small and there is a risk of damage if your piggy moves while the test is being done. It is usually do under light sedation.

Mine won't do it concious either, for the same reason as Yvonne's.

Thank you. Vet had offered to do a blood test conscious a while ago and thinking I may need to take her up on the offer. But I'm not sure if Nancy would sit still like she used to.
Nancy is scratching a lot. I think I will know in another week if it's mites as she will give them back to Pumpkin if it's mites. But we've had multiple injections for mites already. Itching can be a sign of kidney failure and Nancy is on a lot of meds so it's on my mind.
