I used to have 2 sets of boars and 2 separate cages. Sadly my elderly pair passed over the bridge last winter and I now only have 1 pair of boys. They live in a large hutch in our shed with 2 windows in the summer into autumn months (and go out to their run weather permitting during the day) then move in doors when it gets colder around late autumn. Anyway .... This year I want to either connect the 2 large cages ( not the same make ) together safely without gaps but was wondering if anyone has tried this successfully . I don't want to cut the wire in case I get another pair of boars one day. Is this too much hassle or should I just treat them to a new c&c ? Thanks everyone :))

I think they look great too jenniferanneharris. I think I just need someone to tell me just to splash out on a new c&c !

you could always sell on the cages to pay for the c&c or just use the cage inside the c&c as a kitchen

C+C convert me, you make up your own mind on size, which I think is great.
Plus you could always pack it away and use your other cage if you so wished.

yes and by bending grids you can make them fit in odd spaces. My four girls were in a 5x2 now have 5x3 and this is my two girls' cage

Thanks madguinea lady .... It looks great !Where is the best place to buy c&c ?

I will try to take a pic when done ..... But I'm a bit of a techno phobe and I keep on forgetting how to post pics on the forum mallethead

i got my plastic covered grills from ebay. Cost me 18 for 13 grids and 16 connectors i think then bought single mesh grids to bend for hay racks and corners for 3 quid each. Don't use correx, use ground sheet then puppy mats then fleece with extra towels and fleece where they pea though usually do it in their litter trays. The cage in the picture has a large hamster cage bottom full of shavings and hey with a large fiddlesticks for them to get in and out (although they jump in and out most of the time)The big cage (with the four girls in) has kitten litter trays but looking for bigger that won't tip
