One of my guinea pigs has always sounded congested, although my other three guinea pigs sound perfectly fine. Some days, though, like today, she sounds way worse. She still eats and drinks fine, and her poos look healthy. She's always been a little lazy, but she isn't any more lazy then she was before. Does anyone know whether this is normal for some pigs, or if she maybe has a UTI? Is there something I can do here at home to make her breathing sound a little better?

I'm not a health expert myself, but hopefully one of the experts will see your thread and be able to offer more advice. However, if your piggy's breathing sounds congested then they need to see a vet. If it has gotten worse then they need to see a vet as soon as possible. I've linked some guides here. Please give them a read and get your piggy to a vet.

I agree, if yo suspect something may be medically wrong it is always a good measure to get your piggy checked by a vet.

Please do have her seen by a vet to be checked out for a potential URI. Dealing with any potential medical angle needs to always be the first thing.

You can also check that there are no irritants in the room - candles, perfumes, air fresheners, plug ins.
Also check that any bedding and hay isn’t dusty

Sorry I didn't update for so long... We took her to the vet to get her checked out. She did have a minor upper respiratory tract infection, so she got some antibiotics for that, but the main problem is that my dominant pig bullies her too much, so we need to get her her own cage. We're working on that now so soon she should be a happy healthy piggy again!
