Hi

Please see a vet if in any doubt.

You can do a little check by holding your ear against the nose, the throat and the check as to where the congestion is mainly sitting; it doesn't replace a trained examination with a stethoscope but it can give you a bit of an idea.
Any congestion in the nasal cavities is generally more audible when eating since piggies are not much in the way of mouth breathers but it makes breathing that bit more difficult. Hopefully it is just a temporary thing. See whether a bowl of steaming water next to the cage can help ease the breathing a bit more.

hiya!
thanks for your reply, we have just left the vets who has agreed she sounds a bit congested and confirmed this by also listening to lunas breathing. she told us that one of her piggies gets like this every so often and anti inflammatory (metacam) always clears it up, so i’m hoping this 5 day course will help her recover! other than this both girls are in great health! will obviously be keeping an eye (and ear!) on her over the next coming day’s but fingers crossed all should be fine!🤞🏻🤞🏻
thanks for the advice!
