I trotted into B&Q today and asked the nice lady at the counter if she could tell me where the C&C was......I explained it may not be actually called C&C...and described to her what it looks like and what it does..she asked a nearby colleague and they both looked blankly at me and announced they dont sell anything like that there.. Have I been completely bonkers and just made up the fact that this marvelous looking stuff is bought at B&Q....can someone please let me know..that would be very helpful!! mallethead

They are actually described as shelving grids or cube storage system :)) she must have thought you were bonkers!

Usually only the very large B & Q warehouse stocks them

C&C

Hi sam, guess your reffering to the grids. Did you go to the B&Q in carlisle? if so they dont stock them....**** why you got weird looks. The closest B&Q that stocks near carlisle is newcastle, gateshead (the big one on the hill near the metro) alternativly you can do what i did. I went to wilkinsons and bought lots of cooling racks and cable tied them together. They are high enough to keep my ickle piggie in and they only cost 98p each! bargin! :D
Also bought some to make an indoor run as i can fold it away :(|)
Hope this helps

Laura xx

Thanks everyone...I followed the link and unfortunately the three nearest stores to me are out of stock..i've printed a picture of what it looks like to show them and maybe they can order in from another store....Will check out Wickes too....

So..what's the C&C stand for then?? :{

C&C stands for Cubes and Coroplast (or, as it's mostly known here in the uk, Correx)

Is a link to the Cubes on Screwfix, this is where I order mine and they are a wonderful mesh style that I personally like much better than the standard cubes.
Also, http://www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/corrug...parentcat=32&gclid=CMDdianh5JcCFSI7EAodvGIXDg, is a link to an online supplier of Correx, if you are struggling to find some. It is much cheaper than any I have found in stores, and comes in a variety of colours. Worth a visit! x>>

ROFL! no offence but no wonder they didn't know what you were on about! They aren't designed for guineas, they are used as shelving/storage usually!

What does ROFL mean? ?/

I didnt actually mention that it was for guinea pigs...there was potential that I could have done..but I didnt get that far..which was a good thing..I just described what they looked like and how they worked. Everyone's replies have been really helpful though so ta muchly!

Nenharma - if you are in South Cumbria perhaps you could get to Screwfix in Lancaster (on White Lund Estate).
Phone them first to make sure that they have them. I bought some in there (but I had to wait a day or two for them to come from another of their stores).

I explained that I wanted them for guinea pigs and they were sort of amused (probably thought mad woman and assumed that I was going to put the shelves together as they are intended and keep a pig in each 'cube').

I've bookmarked it Laura!...how sad is that!! Thanks tho x
I knew what lmao meant but that was as far as my knowledge went!

Sorry to hear about the little rex :(

You know if i hadn't actually joined this forum, where i learnt that a C&C existed and went to look it up on google. I probably would've looked confused too lol if someone asked me where they were. But now if i worked somewhere that sold them, i could get what they mean.
