Concrete

Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask if it's okay for guinea pigs to run around on concrete? It's spring here and the weather has been really nice so I thought my boys might enjoy running around outside in their run for a change, problem is my backyard only has concrete and synthetic grass. I was thinking that concrete might be too rough on their feet?

I carnt see it doing any harm, mine run on cold ceramic tiles , and it do,s no harm

It is perfectly fine to put guinea pigs out to run on the concrete. It actually helps to keep their nails short.

What about the random weeds between in my case the slabs, will they know what to eat or not?

We have concrete slabs and dogs that wee on them so I put a massive fleece blanket down then put the run on that.

I'd never rely on domestic animals knowing what's safe or not. Rip them all up, unless there are any you're sure are definitely safe for piggies.
