Does anyone have any experience with them? For treating piggies? Particularly the netherfield Nottingham branch. Or can anyone recommend a good guinea pig savvy vet in the Nottingham area. Suspected URI in one of my piggies :/ and I've just moved to a new area, my usual vet I take my dog too didn't even know what a skinny pig was when a friend of mine took hers in, & thought it lost its hair through illness!? So thts put me off that vetinary practice!

There are some recommendations on the Vet sticky thread. How about Radford Davison's on Ikeston Road? Or there's a Vets for Pets that's been recommended (these 2 are quite old recommendations though).
There's also James and John at Dove Vets, Derby Road, Stapleford. Not sure how far that is from you.

Here's the link to the sticky so you can have a nosey yourself and see if you can find a suitable one http://theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1788

Hope this helps

P.S. I hope your piggy is ok and you manage to find a decent vets. Imagine not knowing about skinny pigs mallethead

I have only heard bad things about companion care up north. the one a local rabbit rescue used for a short while could not sex rabbits or tell if they were neutered for example

Not really going to be much help but my local companion care has an exotics vet to cover for maternity leave. I found this out by asking :)

I actually quite like companion care for small animals. I find my usual vet great with my dog, but they clearly care very little for my smaller babies.

Thanks for the advice everyone :-) he's booked in at davisons vets for this evening, to see Alicia who I'm told is their most guinea pig wise vet. Thanks for your help

The pets at home in Netherfield has only been open that long (my parents live a 10 minute walk away). I didn't know they had a vet in that store mallethead companion care are nothing to do with pets at home.

I used to take my rabbit to Martin Grace (now called Oak House since he retired) on Station Road in Carlton. It was years ago but I never had any problems with them.
