Hi
Could anyone recommend a sheeting that holds the heat to put over the hutches at night?
Is there anything out there that would help?
Thanks

I do this anyway with sleeping bags then plastic sheeting over the top.
I was wondering if there is a cheap insulating product you can use?

We always suggest Tarpaulin from B&Q or similar, something to hold it down like bricks, which will keep the worst of the wind and rain and if it gets below freezing then an old blanket or piece of carpet under the tarpaulin works well.

Hi All
Thanks for your help, I do all of the above! Just wondered if there was anything else I needed to do to keep my babies warm?

As probably has been said in other threads but a box that is smaller in height than the hutch put into the bedroom area, with a hole cut in for the guinea pigs to get into it, filled with hay or fleece shreds will keep them warmer during the colder times. Guinea pigs are genetically capable of dealing with the colder months, but they don't like damp and draughts and making it as warm as you can for them just helps make them happier during this time :D

I have tarpaulin it is great for keeping wind and rain out. Fleece products, such as snuggle pockets are great too and you can put in snugglesafe heat pads too x

I've ordered a little box each for my boys as they have to be separated by a wired fence . They have fleece blankets in their wooden house already but it's not sturdy enough hence the new houses. When it's very cold I have a c&c cage so guess I have everything covered thanks everyone
