One of my guinea pigs has started having clumpy and mushy poos. I noticed they didn't look quite right yesterday but today it's gotten worse. They are oddly shaped, mushy and sometimes I'll notice big clumps all stuck together. They aren't runny, but they are soft and both my guinea pigs keep stepping in them and smushing them into the fleece liner of their cage. She's still active, eating and drinking, although not as much as usual. I'm going to call the vet in the morning to get her an appointment booked but I'm wandering what I should do while I wait. I was thinking of stopping the veggies and just weighing her daily to monitor how much she's eating? Any other advice would be a great help.

I would stop the veg until the poos are back to normal for at least 24 hours. Do start weighing him once daily (mornings usually work best). If she’s losing then you will need to step in with syringe feeding. I hope she’s better soon.

Okay I'll stop feeding her veggies and I'll weigh her in the morning and keep monitoring her. I've ordered some Oxbow critical care and syringes to come Monday in case she is losing weight (although I do have a syringe and can mush up pellets until they arrive if I'm in a pinch). Should I also stop feeding my other guinea pig veggies or should I separate them during feeding? Thank you, I really hope it's nothing serious :(

To add, ensure you also stop access to grass during a stomach upset.
Make sure to introduce fresh grass slowly into the diet

I had to separate them for feeding as she kept trying to steal it from the other piggies mouth. Now she won’t stop chewing the bars of her cage, shes not happy about not receiving any veg 😅 I have a dog so don’t feed them any grass.
