Clipping untamed piggies nails

Hi,
My guinea pigs nails are getting very long but the thing is they won’t let me pick them up or even stroke them. What should I do?!
 
This happens to me too. You can look at getting a vet to clip them or you can get them to come in to a box filled with veggies, scoop them up and try. It helps if you have two people, one to hold the guinea and the other to clip. I often don't clip that much, I just try to clip a little off. I clip my guineas nails about once a month or so.

Hi! I like your idea. Will this make it harder to bond with them tho, like are you scaring them?
 
Try wrapping up your piggy in a blanket like a Piggy sausage roll with a foot hanging out. Then clip away and repeat until all the nails are clipped. It helps if you have a friend to hold your piggy and distract with something yummy.

My exotic vet used a towel, so I always use a towel to hold them and cut their nails. It takes about a minute to cut Lara’s nails. It take about 5 minutes to cut Finn’s nails with giving him breaks in between due to him struggling a bit. Finn also complains about his hair cut as well, but he tries his best I feel. :tu:
