does anyone use clippers on their guineas, they really need to loose some hair around their back sides as it keeps getting damp and matted, wondering if clippers would be easier than scissors?

the noise of clippers might stress them a bit so scissors might be best

I thought about that but they are a lot quieter than the hairdryer! Wondered if there was any other reason why I shouldn't be using them?

ide say aside from the noise that there shouldn't be, just be careful of limbs, extremities, nipples (depending if you go under belly) etc
Maybe comb the fur away from body and then use clippers that way so not going so close to skin

Please use scissors with piggies not clippers, it is easy to catch skin, take this from someone who uses them on their head regularly.

Just keep bum and side hair trimmed short.
