Hello, my heart piggie has been making crackling/clicking noises in short spurts the last two evenings! When I checked this morning to see if vets were to be called, he was fine and again all day today until just now. I didn’t hold him to my ear this eve as this tends to freak him out so much he stops breathing properly. It’s also heard to hear due to his enlarged heart.
He has no other URI symptoms such as runny nose or crusty eyes, he’s eating fine and popcorning around. The only thing I can think is perhaps his hay because it’s a bit thinner and crappier at the moment, the heating in the room being too much or his one missed dose of heart meds yesterday morning (first time since he started and I felt awful).
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I’m afraid I don’t have any advice. Had you booked him an appointment? I’ll tag @Wiebke @VickiA they can hopefully help you more.
I didn’t book as he was okay this morning. I will reassess in the morning again tomorrow to see if I need to phone and book him in.
Obviously I want to make sure he is okay but it’s hard to know what is worrying and what is part of his condition.

A call to the vet is always a good idea. They need to be the ones to assess whether its part of his condition or something else - you don’t need to stress yourself with trying to work it out and they would rather you take him in worried well, than leave something too long.
I hope he is ok

He’s booked in Monday at 6pm to have a check up. They’ve offered to fit him as an emergency if he starts clicking more frequently or if he deteriorates at all.
