Hay guys. OK when giving the hutch a really good clean what is the best thing to use to wash it out? Is Milton OK or not (I'm guessing not )but I wanted to see what u all use.

No - Milton isn't a good idea.

Here are some options ..

- white vinegar is good at getting white wee stains removed .
- Conficlean ( this is what I use - I buy it from the Hay Experts)
- F10 disinfectant
- most pet shops sell cleaning sprays.

Thank you. Didn't think it would be that's why I wanted to know what u all use that's brilliant thank you x

I also found that popping it onto the lawn (minus the piggies obviously) and giving it a good blast with the hose did wonders.
Just make sure the weather is warm enough to get it properly dry before you put the piggies back.

I use the Johnsons pet cleaner spray bottle thingy, a bowl of hot water and a scrubber go stubborn calcium & boar glue bits. If in any doubt of the cleanliness then I have F10 as well (all using gloves of course) then use kitchen towels to dry off. Leave it to air off before putting in new bedding.

Some good tips. As my husband just reminded me, no question is a stupid question.
