Hi guys

Was wondering what cleaning sprays you use? On our weekly deep clean and fleece change we give the c and c cage a good clean with rspca cage cleaner from b and m. Was wondering if there is an alternative that might be a bit cheaper/more effective :)

Thanks

Casie

I use Johnson's Clean 'n' Safe which is a disinfectant as well as a cleaner and deodorant. On the label it states Kills bacteria and viruses where pets live, sleep and feed. Its around £3 from Pets at Home. Occasionally they have it on special offer when I get several.

I use F10 disinfectant for a deep clean and Johnsons Clean and safe (green one for small animals) for a quick spruce up.

I use Johnson's Clean and Safe, it's always worked for me and smells quite nice for a disinfectant haha!

Yup Johnsons Clean and Safe. There was also a deep clean disinfectant at my p@h which was more expensive so I thought it would be better but when I tried it it didn't get rid of the smell as well.

I use white vinegar in a spray - cheap as chips and safe and effective - does pong for a bit though!

Must get some F10 for deep cleans

I use a mix of white vinegar, detergent and water. It does pong for a bit like @Posyrose said but great for heavily soiled areas.

I use 50/50 white vinegar and water. Smell doesn't linger.

I also do vinegar solution. It's handy for the particularly grubby bits on the base as if you spray on and leave to soak in, it'll be wipeable in 1-2 minutes.
I do have a spray of F10 too, but I mostly use that for mice changing cages than the piggies.

I use F10 at the moment. I buy the concentrate and then water it down. I did used to use white vinegar solution and might switch between the two in future.

I actually just use white vinegar... very cost-effective! I've been using it to clean my small animal cages since I was a kid, to the point that whenever I smell white vinegar it makes me think of pets!
