We’re just getting going with a C&C cage.

What do you use to clean the correx? I’ve seen people mention vinegar (is this diluted?) or antibacterial wipes/spray?

Thanks X

Hello,

I use Clean and Safe spray for guinea pigs once a week to clean the whole thing and Dettol wipes (bleach free, fragrance free etc) during the week when I change their fleece. Then wait till it fully dries/wipe with kitchen roll!
Hope this helps. Please do correct me if my routine is wrong!

I use F10 to wash the whole of the correx and white vinegar spray on high pee areas where it can cause staining

I use clean & safe twice a week when I change the fleece and F10 about once a month for a deep clean. Diluted white vinegar on heavy stains, undiluted white vinegar on the hay trays if heavily stained, these are then changed over for another set if they still have a strong smell after rinsing, aired in the greenhouse until next time!

We use pet safe disinfectant floor wipes for the larger cage areas usually, and F10 for a deep disinfect. And Johnson's clean'n'safe in the hay trays. I'm about to try vinegar for soaking off the pee residue for the first time tomorrow!
