When should guinea pigs be cleaned out in the snow?

I really want to clean them out but I do not want them to get cold, if all there heat is taken away!
Sould I wait untill the snow has gone so they will be warm when it comes to clean out time?

Good question. They need their house cleaning (the damp bedding will feel much colder) but the pigs need to stay warm in the meantime without bringing them into the house.

Maybe pop them into a travel carrier stuffed full of hay, with a blanket draped over the top?

If the weather is too cold for you, then it is too cold for the pigs. I assume they are outdoors in a hutch. Is there any chance you could keep them in the house/shed?

I've been trying to wait for the snow to go to clean out my guinea-pigs but it doesn't look like the snow's going anywhere and the hutches are getting quite dirty. I'm going to put them in a travel carrier in the shed when I clean them out tommorow.

I put them in a travel box and stuffed it with hay and put a sheet over them. It worked really well and I did it quite quickley.
