My boys are currently indoor but as it gets warmer I will be popping them outside. Any suggestions on the best hutches and how often do you guys clean out your hutches?
My boy aren't the smallest piggies so looking for a good size hutch but won't break the bank either :)

Thanks

A 4ft x 2ft hutch or larger would be perfect.

If you put lino or correx in as a base cleaning is super super easy and just the same as an indoor cage. :-)

I would look for somebody nearby that custom makes hutches. They're usually better value for quality and you can get it the size you want. Definitely line it with vinyl though as otherwise the wee will soak into the wood.

Agree with Popcorn Pigs - look around for a local person who makes hutches, they tend to use much thicker wood which lasts better and is more insulated.
I did internet searches for 'handmade hutches' or similar in my area and came up with a few.
As for cleaning out, that kind of depends on you, the bedding you use and the piggies poo rate (usually high)! What bedding would you use outside?

Again bedding outside is something I need advice on, inside I have a lining of newspaper washable incontinent pads and then fleece and the wetter a
End I have some vetbed too.

I've actually got my boys one similar to this: ;)

Cheap for what it is, the interior is a little small to be kept in all the time but with the run it's about 16sq foot EDIT: this one is bigger and cheaper than mine lol.
The interior also has a pull out tray which makes cleaning so much easier and i normally clean my boys out Saturday and Wednesday
