Hi,
What methods do you use to clean your guinea pigs home?
What disinfectants do you use and recommend?
What homemade cleaning solutions do you use and how do you make them?
Thanks!
Edit : Need tips ... As @Ruby Inferno and I are doing a sticky on this.

We use Johnsons small animal safe disinfectant. Everything is cleaned/ rinsed once a week with this disinfectant/ water.
We haven't used any other cleaning solutions, but we find Johnsons to be pretty good. Except water and small ratio vinegar to remove white stains.

i use this spray https://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/conficlean-2-complete.html or these wipes https://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/conficlean-2-wet-wipes.html from the conficlean range. they clean well, dry quickly and they don't have a strong smell which is ideal for the piggies and us.

i use either of the above to clean the correx and their large litter tray. the tray gets wiped out everyday and i usually do the correx base twice a week/every third day :)

white vinegar and water in a 50/50 ratio can also be used, and i use this to neutralise when a new piggy pair is going back in the cage :)

I use vinegar, sometimes mixed with water to clean wee stains. I have used ecover watered down (half that and half water) for a general clean.

I use conficlean too. I use the concentrate for my main clean . I make up a 5 litre bucket full - use this to clean the hutch 1st - and then use the remaining mix to clean out their waste bins etc. I keep a packet of conficlean wipes in the shed as I don't have running water in their shed and they are handy for a quick wipe of pigloos etc. I'm going to get some of the hand sanitiser too when I do my next order from hay for pets.

I launder fleece items either on a 60 degree wash or use ...

Hmm, weird, it didn't notify me about your tag. :hmm:

Personally I use 50/50 distilled vinegar and water in a spray bottle for cleaning my double hutch and indoor cage. Normally I give the cage and hutch floor a scrub, leave to dry, then scrub a second time before letting it dry and putting bedding back in the cage/hutch (plus toys etc., and of course piggies). Sometimes I clean the walls, bars, and ceiling too if I have time; it helps get rid of any dust from bedding and hay.

I've heard F10 is a good disinfectant too, especially if the piggies have ringworm.

I use F10 disinfectant for every clean at the moment. I bought the concentrated version and make it up with water into a spray bottle to make it easier to use when cleaning. Provided you don't contaminate it in any way you can store the made up solution and don't have to use it all at once.

I can also recommend Anigene lavender disinfectant. Again, I bought the neat version and made it up in a spray bottle. The smell is not overpowering at all and none of our piggies have ever had a problem with it. It is good against lots of things but F10 is the only one that can kill ringworm spores.
