Sorry its a it of a random question. Ive just got two of my girls settled into their new Omlet Eglu outside. If no ones seen or know them they have an outdoor run area they can have all day.

However, being paranoid as i am, i want to clean the grass as much as possible of their little poo's, not only for hygiene of the pigs but I get paranoid about flies. Does anyone have a good technique of doing this? I used a dustpan and brush earlier, it did an ok job but does anyone else know a better way?

Many thanks guys

x.

I read a post the other day where someone vaccuumed their lawn to get rid of the poo! I bet it is effective, even if you do look slightly mental :))

Water it in, poop makes excellent fertiliser!

If i had the chance to stamp them in i would but the dogs like the fastest thing ever when the run gets moved ! Apparently theay eat it for the potassium or something like that I'm not quite sure lol she also eats any forgotten veg too lol

Yep one of my dogs eat it too the other dog dosen't seem too bothered.

My dog climbs in the hutch somtimes to hover up the poo. Move the run around on the lawn, leave the poos asthey are good for the grass.

Oh dear... dogs eating poops.

The Eglu was over £300, its really good, but I'm not sure its worth the price tag, i havent had it long enough to decide yet. but its a lot bigger than it looks online. x.

That was MEEE! haha

I only do it because I move the run around and don't want the kids treading in it then going in the paddling pool and in the house and god knows where else. I tried brushing it but most of it just stayed where it was!

Works for me, even if I look like a loon! :)p:))

if you have flower boarders/beds that are level with the grass get a good solid yard type brush and just sweep them to one side, great fertilizer for the plants :)

My dogs eat them as well if I am not quick enough cleaning up. It can't be unusual then if others do it, they must have something in them that makes them tasty.

Don't think I will try it though:(|)

I leave mine but am wondering if I should borrow a dog after reading this! Sweeping into a flower bed sounds a good option when its dry - I have raked as much as possible as it takes ages to disappear and never thought of a broom :red

My hoover wouldn't reach and not sure I want all that poo in my hoover really?
