Cleaning ears

Hi,
Penny just went to the vet today to check and see if her ear infection is gone. All is clear but the vet noticed some debris in her left ear. After cleaning it out, she suggested I use ear cleaning solution to clean the ears once in a while. I've never cleaned guinea pig ears before and I had thought it was best to avoid messing with the ears. She suggested to use the solution to help make sure the ear infection does not come back. Does anyone have experiences like this? Are there reliable videos on how to clean piggy ears?

It’s generally not advised to clean inside their ears as you can easily cause damage.
It’s best to always seek vet advice if you notice any issue with the ears.

I agree. I’d let the vet do it if it needs cleaning again. I’m glad the infection cleared up.
