Cleaning Advice For Play Pen

So, its been a week of spot cleaning during play pen time with my piggie. My play pen has a cover/ base thing that is used as a flooring, instead of being on the direct floor. I've decided that I'll clean it today (it's been a week with many poo and pee stains), but I'm not sure if I should spray it down with a hose outside, hand wash it, or what? Any suggestions on how you clean your play pen floorings?

(It's not fleece or anything, but it has a 'somewhat' waterproof material where the guinea pig stands, and a cotton-ish upper lip that wraps around the fencing that somehow always ends up with pee and pooped on)

Do you put something on top of the playpen floor ie puppy pads?

No, I don't. I'm afraid he'll end up chewing it up, as he tries to eat everything that he shouldn't. If I do try, he wouldn't get sick?

And illl try to take a picture on replace of the long since I can't seem to work
