A friend at work keeps asking for a photo of Ginny with my hand so she can see how big she is. The answer is massive!

She's only 10 months old and 1128g already. I know swiss are a big breed, but surely she can't grow much more?
Her sister Luna is more dainty at 873g. I get paranoid that she is too skinny, but it might just be because I'm comparing her to monster pig?

Anyone got any photos of their pigs with a hand in the picture for perspective? Have I really got little and large on my hands? Lol

Archie is around Ginnys weight, at his heaviest he was 1400g i think? I think he is 1200g something at the moment.

He's around 7 months. He's deceptive though, he is a solid, chunky pig. I'm waiting on new scales arriving to get them both weighed again because he feels like he's twice Blitzen's weight. But somehow, every time he sits like that, he looks tiny. Witchcraft, I bet.

Wow that is a whopper pig. I bet she"s gorgeous though. I have a feeling my Coco is going to be a big girl, she dwarfs her sister and they are only going on 7 months this month.

Don't worry @Lorcan, I look like that everday except I have really frizzy hair and I look like I got dragged through a hedge backwards lol.

Ginny does look big :) One of mine, Sunrise, if I remember correctly I think she was around 1400g. She was a Teddy, and in fact both of Teddy pigs used to look permanently pregnant!
My Swiss, Penny, is a long pig but not particularly wide. Her bottom looks huge due to the fact that her fluff sticks out, but in reality she isn't as large as some Swiss pigs

My rowan is a monster too.. She's 10 months and weighs 1160g.. Iv never had a pig this heavy before, I'm not one to over indulge my pigs on fatty foods but she just won't stop growing!

I got her 7 months ago where she weighed 200g! She was neglected and abandoned bless her X

Rodney is my whopper at 1400g, he's 4yo.

I have noticed how much chunkier my teddy is though. Stanley is about 9mnths old and tips the scale at nearly 1200g.

I have to say that Luna looks about the size of most of my sows who are all between 900g and 1100g, so maybe Ginny is just big boned :D

I really wouldn't worry about weight :)

My Emma and Ellen are currently weighing in between 1150g and 1200g. Emma is at least 5 years old and Ellen is coming up to 2 years old. My Edward however who is around 18 months old is only 1100g. He feels nice and chunky but looks so tiny compared to his wives.

My heaviest pig was Erika (R.I.P) who weighed in at a whopping 1500g at the prime of her life but she was never considered fat as she was also long in length x

That was my Jake. Clocked in at around 1.5kg too, but he was just enormous in general. Everything was proportionate...just proportionately large lol.

Also, I've a suspicion Comet's heading in the same direction. Having finally managed to weigh him today, he's clocking in at 943g at 7 months old. D:

My Bumble was 1300gs and his 7 month old namesake sow Bumbalina is going to be a whopper too - she has a big booty!

My sow Coco is just shy of 900g at 7 months old and poor Patchy is tiny in comparison at 100g lighter ( they are sisters). She's really petite but probably because zooms around her cage all day.

Yeah Blitzen's only 765g, proper lightweight in comparison. My mother now insists Comet needs to go on a diet :/ thing is the two of them eat the same stuff, and Comet's the zoomies fan. She's forever going on about how pets should weigh exactly so much and they shouldn't have any of x, y or Z because it's "fattening" and as horrible as it might sound, she has a really unhealthy attitude with these things, especially where pets are concerned. Jake, the pig I mentioned above - she kept insisting to the vet he was overweight, and every time the vet would physically examine him then weigh him, and then tell her he was fine.

Every. Single. Vet. Visit.

Oh no. Sounds abit like my grandmother (she's 94) when I try to explain why I dont feed the piggies certain foods. She then goes on about the guinea pigs she had like 80 yrs ago and how she used to chuck whole apples in their hutch (which was a large dog kennel with a makeshift door with chicken wire) pips and all and half a cabbage and the piggies never died of poisoning or got bloat and everything you read on the internet is rubbish and her guinea pigs never ate hay or pellets and how i'm to fussy with what I feed them and not feed them and just chuck everything in there and be done with it. In her defence they never had the internet back then so probably didn't know they needed to eat hay lol. I love her heaps but jeez i have a headache sometimes when i leave their place lol.

Yup, that's the type. She had a go at me for feeding the dog cheese once. "It's too fattening she can't have it",conveniently ignoring the fact that a) I didn't feed the dog anything, it fell off the counter and I couldn't catch it and b) the dog in question was a Labrador. Only way I was getting that piece of cheese back first was if I kicked the dog out of the way. I was not going to kick the dog.

I love big chunky piggies mind you. She'd probably have heart failure if she saw a few of the pigs in this thread :))
