Just phone the vet and was asked to email pictures in of Christian's eye. Just done this now awaiting a phone call. There is a film over the top of his eye. Not very clear in the photo but was the best I could get.

aww poor lad.... hope the vets can sort something out for him xx

Ouch, poor Christian :( Hope you can get it sorted with vet and he feels better soon bless him.

Owch Christian!

If it's any consolation when my dogs cyst broke open Friday (she was meant to have them&a lump removed today, but it was cancelled), I sent photos in to my vets, they called back within an hour, triaged her, sorted her some antibiotics (already on painkillers for arthritis so no need for more yet).

The vet was working from home & the prescription was sent through to the vets, who then telephoned me when ready for collection & I paid for it over the phone.

A friend collected them for me, she had to telephone the vets when in the car park, they brought the meds out&put on a table ready to collect. The table being disinfected regularly.

Perhaps it'll be the same kind of routine for your vets?

Speedy recovery little man
Luv the girls & I
Xx

Aw, poor little man, that looks painful! Wishing him a speedy recovery x

All the best for having him seen today!

Eye injuries count as an emergency as they can deteriorate very quickly; the sooner they can be seen and treated, the quicker they will heal. Treatment and medication is the same as with cats and dogs, so any decent local vet that is open will do.

Please ask your vet for lubrication/rehydration like any artificial tear gel. In combination with the necessary antibiotic eye drops/gel this will contribute massively to the comfort and help speed up the healing process.

Metacam for the first days will also help with comfort and healing while the eye is still very sore.

Poor Christian.
Micah says you can have his Isathal as he doesn’t need it any more.
He hopes Christian feels better and his eye mends soon.
He appreciated Christian’s help and advice with his haypoke which is all better now.

I phoned them to check they had received my email about an hour ago, they hadn't so it's just as well I phoned! I resent it and was told I would get a phone call around 4ish. They will either give me a Consultation over the phone (which I will be charged the normal fee for + meds) or they will get me to pick up meds in which case I just pay for the meds and no Consultation fee.

Been having the same issue with my emails. Think it's the number of people working from home...
Get well soon x

Well had a phone consultation with the vet and went to collect Isthal. Twice a day for 5 days along with lubricant gel about an hour or so after. Have a good look at the eye after 5 days and if I think its better stop the treatment, if not another 2 days. If still not better phone up for more advice.
