So today was chore day for the Copati Clan...
...and mess was cleaned, nails were clipped, fur was brushed, fleece was washed, cream was applied, treatment was given, patience was tested, food was eaten and pictures were taken.
But it is over now!:))
Thank you slave.

Simply gorgeous  thanks for sharing those photos

The look on the piggie's face having their claws clipped! :)) Does look relaxed though!

The look on that face having the nails trimmed! Lovely photos. Sure they're all very content now. :)

What a lovely set of photos. And what an obliging piggy to sit so beautifully for a manicure and pedicure. It takes 2 of us to wrestle with our girls!

The girls say thank you to the lovely people on the piggy forum for their complements on their gorgeousness, and say that they fully agree with @Glynis , nail clipping should always be followed by a snack.:agr:
Believe it or not this is actually my first thread (minus my introduce myself) and I have been on here for ages!:))

Well, we hope to see more of you and the girls @Eilidh

How often should my piggies nails be trimmed? I'm a bit worried about mine, they look long and they are kept inside so not being worn down. Can I do it or do I need to see a vet? Is there anything I can do to help?

Hi,
You should clip a Guinea pigs nails as and when they need it, I usually clip mine every 2-4 weeks but every pig is different. If you think you can clip the nails by yourself feel free to do it, but just a warning they can put up a fight!
If you feel you can't, then you can go to the vets and let them do it so you know how to do it for the future.
Here is a a link to some useful tips from Guinea Lynx.Guinea Lynx :: Nail Clipping
Hope this helped!
