It is 11:40 I am supposed to be in bed for college right now. INSTEAD I am up, staring confused around my room with a computer and a broom Handle.

There is a bird in my room... I know it- I hear it. Chirpchirpchirp. It's pretty, though! A pretty chirping. I run to my light, flip it on... nobird.

I examine my closet, no bird yet the chirping continues...

I narrow it down- it's cupcake!

Guinea pigs chirp!? Since when? and what does it mean? Did I break her? Haha!

Its so pretty, I've never heard it before...

some pig specialists say it's when a pig hears or smells something dangerous and tries to warn their whole colony to be on guard.

ours did that, too and it's consistent with the above theory - she's a self-designated sentry of the pack and it did smell of smoke in the area that time :) here's our chirping [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8OYObSClV4&feature=player_embedded"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8OYObSClV4&feature=player_embedded[/ame]

Ohhh! Chirping to warn would make perfect sense- we're had a massive storm roll in last night. It was such a pretty sound! And no, I didn't see the thread, I was a bit out of it when I posted that, haha. Tired Ebonyraven was tired.

and no- STILL No babies. :C

My tim chirped for the first time yesterday when I brought a tortoise home for about half an hour and put him in their run while they were still in the hutch. I was looking in the trees and everything for this apparent bird, but then looked down in the hutch and there was my pig staring at me chirruping away. Clearly warning the whole tribe of 2 about the life threatening monster of a 12 inch tortoise plodding around.
