Sadie was chirping today. It didn't sound like the clips I've listened to on the internet - the sound was the same but she was only making one chirp every 5 seconds or so. (rather than continuously)

The battery on my carbon monoxide alarm went today and it makes a high pitched beep every 30 seconds when the battery's dead, could she have been copying it thinking it was a pig singing?

Also, she was unusually cheerful afterwards.

Any thoughts as to whether this was likely to be singing?

Unable to answer your question I'm afraid but I would LOVE to hear one of mine do this! Is there anyway you could record it or was it a one off?

She hasn't done it since so I'm guessing it's a one off unfortunately.

Piggy singing can be quite different in itself - from chirping constantly or intermittently on one note to what really sounds bird song...

Nobody knows why or what - but feel yourself blessed when you hear it!
