Hi everyone! I know very little is known about chirping, but I figured I’d ask and see if anyone has had this happen. I have two pigs, around 10 months old now, both female. My dominant pig, Nutmeg, has been chirping fairly regularly for the past 3 months or so. The first three times it happened around 3-5 am, but the last two have been when I’m in my room with them around 8 pm, with the TV on. She snaps out of it the second she hears me making noise, and it doesn’t seem to phase my other pig, Ginger. I know this is supposed to be super rare, but it’s been more and more frequent lately. It starts out very low too, I mistake it for loud teeth chattering at first, but then it goes into full blown chirping? Any thoughts? It’s super cool to hear but she does it so often and I know it’s not common.

Hi!

While most chirping is a one-off, some piggies are regular singers.
Here is a compilation of what we know so far. You may find it interesting even though we haven't got a definite answer: Chirping
