Well we had chirping piggies again on Saturday night, went in to do piggie teas and Peaches was sitting singing ! a lovely chirpping. My Rachel was quite alarmed as she had not heard it before ! we gave peaches a cuddle and she began to settle even though she looked alarmed.
Then as peaches finished,Cindy Lou Hoo started it was the strangest tea ever !!
No further chirpping, but we have a garden bird whose chirp sounds like a Guinea Pig squeaking !! If i had a £1 for every time i get up off the sofa !
Yes strange goings on indeed at The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue

Wow that is so unusual. I wish we could understand what they mean.

Oh, I love it when they sing! Poppy, our alpha female, did it on christmas day for the first time a couple of years ago and took everyone by surprise, particularly the other pigs! She does it from time to time but we've never worked out why, but she does sound exactly like a bird:)

When it happens all the other guineas seem to freeze and stand still, I think myself it is an alarm call.
