Ok so I had a very strange wake up call this morning at 5am.

All three girls were "singing" and it sounded like a choir. They scared the cat and now I am thinking that spring fever hit. Meaning the guinea pigs are acting crazy (yet they are quite content) and the cat has gone totally bonkers.

What do you guys think

My pigs do this sometimes too...

Nothing to be worried about and no one really knows for sure why they do it, but it is a funny noise. Only two of my 14 pigs do this and it's always in the wee hours of the morning if at all.

EDIT, may have gotten confused... when you say singing, do you mean weeeking or making a chirp chirp chirp noise? as that is what I was referring to

They sounded like birds but they were in unison. But all three don't live together at this present moment

It's apparently rare, but I've heard one of my piggies do it once. Cool that the other ones joined in!

The strange thing l have found is that they can be silent for months , then for no apparent reason they break into song , it can heard several times a day for a few days , then total silence ( apart from the usual piggy racket lol )

Another thing , l have never ever knowingly hear a Boar chirp !!

I remember the first time i heard one of mine doing it. We just all froze and stared at him :))
My 2 other boys didnt seem to like it right enough.

I've heard my boars chirping and the first time I heard it I thought there were birds in the house! I didn't know they could do that.

The second night after I brought the brothers home, they woke me up in the middle of the night, chirping. I should have got up and recorded it, but I was half-asleep.

After I built the big cage and put the three all together, they did it during the day. I wasn't home, sadly, but my husband got to hear it!
