Well the wonder of these fantastic little animals continues to suprise me. Whilst finishing off tea in the piggie palace tonight i suddenley checked the back door as i heard a bird chirping very close by. It sounded like it was coming from a hutch in the garage ! By deduction i discovered it was dylan standing still little lips moving sounding like a bird singing.Funny me stroked him to see if he was ok and he looked at me to say whats wrong ? It was lovely and i have never heard one of my guinea pigs do this x

No one seems to know why they do it though.

No one knows why they do it, but I've seen some of my piggies do it before and they didn't seem either happy or unhappy.

It is amazing how their lips barely move when they are chirping!

One of mine did it once & it was really weird! Took us completely by surprise, the piggy looked like it was in a trance it kind of freaked us out lol It really does sound like a bird singing, that's the best way to describe it

I've only ever heard it online - none of mine have ever done it but I'm hoping that one day I'll hear it 'first hand'
