Hi All,

I'm looking for some recommendations for vets in the east midlands (ideally in the Northamptonshire area), I've called a few local vets but haven't been able to find one as of yet that feels confident about their chin expertise or is willing to take on new patients at the moment :(

Any help would be really appreciated.

Chine House in Leicestershire has an exotics specialist. I can't comment on chins but he is excellent with piggies and I have been sat in the waiting room with people taking fish and tortoises to him before

The Cat and Rabbit clinic in Northampton is the go to vets (ask for an appointment with either Kim or Simon Maddock) for all small furries. They are marvellous! they specialise in dental problems for all furries but are amazing vets all round. They certainly see lots of guinea pigs, rabbits and chins. Hope you can get an appt soon as they are always very busy, they are my vets of choice and I live in Cornwall 300 miles away!

They are general vets and no referrals needed

I’d definitely try and get an appointment at Cat and Rabbit Care Clinic like said above, I took my chins Poppy and Pedro there for years (far too often!) and they were brilliant with them, for dentals as well as other issues. I’ve taken my pigs there for years too, highly recommend them!

Hope your little one is ok? There’s another section on the forum for ‘Other Pets’ if you wanted to ask any questions or talk about them :) Miss my chins, such lovely little furries! ❤️
