Chin sling for guinea pigs? Malocclusion

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has tried a chin sling for their guinea pig? My pig's teeth grow misaligned (malocclusion) . It was only at 2 years old that the teeth were overgrown. He had his molars filed down. It's been a week and he is eating hard pellets and veggies, but no hay.

He may still be recovering but my vet suggested to try a chin sling as it would align his jaw bite (that was misaligned from the teeth issue) to align this jaw and strengthen the jaw muscles.

Has anyone had success with a chin sling this for issue before?

No but the vet wanted mine to wear a cone and I couldn't get him to keep it on.

Thanks so your reply. He is! He is on metacam for pain; and galapentin oil.
Is the consensus based on the past experiences with chin slings in this forum?
