Hi all, wonder if anyone can help?

My two eldest piggies have taken to chewing the water bottle teat thingy but not actually drinking the water, they are making their cage really damp. i'll clean them out and within less than half a day, they will have soggied the floor bit again because of the water bottle!inbreeding

I know the water bottle isn't faulty, and can hear them doing it-it woke me up at 3am this morning!grrrr

Any ideas? I obviously can't take the water away from them, there is other things for them to chew in the cage but their new found chew-thing isn't exactly ideal!

Thanks, Heather

what about leaving that one empty for chewing and buy another cheap one for drinking?

my piggies tend to chew the metal bit but mine dosnt really leak that much so maybe you should try a different bottle x

I've put a little bowl under my bottle for the very same reason - it just collects the excess water and i have to soak it up a few times a day (i started off going through a hell of a lot of kitchen towel, but found some extra absorbant sponges in the supermarket which works a treat, one "squidge" and its all gone) ;)

I tend to use the John Hopewell Eazi filla bottles and they dont drip at all, even with chewy piggies. Hope this helps.
