Chewing the bars

I don't know really... I've heard it's a sign of boredom, but also habit. Maybe if you rearrange their cage completely? A fresh start of some kind?
Maybe you could rotate their "stuff" so that the cage is always exciting to them. It doesn't have to be much, a towel pegged to the cage as a tent, or a scrunched up ball of paper or hay not in a hayrack?

My piggies do this at food time & with 10 of them it gets very noisy rolleyes
I ended up overlapping the grids of my C&C with the bars from a run I had so that they couldn't get their noses through to get to the bars - you can just about see it on the girls cage in this thread http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showpost.php?p=684356&postcount=252

Mango does it when she wants attention; namely when I go out to feed them all their veg. I worked out that it was mainly if I feed the 4 girls before her and her brother, so now they get fed first while the girls holler, and it seems to have all but stopped
