Chewing clothes/needy

Hello,
Sometimes when I am holding Shura or Hriusha they tend to chew on my sleeves. Not biting it off, just chewing the fabric. I was wondering, what can this mean?

Is it possible for guinea pigs to miss you? I think Shura is thinking about food, but for example when we are watching tv, they each have a chair and if I get up to leave to get food or drink, they both get paniced and stop relaxing. For example, Hriusha will get off his chair and come to find me and jump into my hands. Does he just want to be cuddled? They both act this way if I leave the room and start to look for me and both want to be held. I am just wondering what it means. They do love to cuddle. :)

as for the sleeve chewing mmmmmm no idea :-\
If i have our boy on a towel and he wants to be put down he'll chew on the towel, but that's not quite the same... sorry i can't help i'm sure there will be someone come along a bit later and advise you :)
 
Honkey chews when he wants to go for a wee, so when he is on me, I have a box on the floor with shredded paper and I put him in there he has a wee, then wheeks to be picked up again.

FAB IDEA one of mine does this tugging for a wee wee and i get sad as i have to put her back, this way its longer cuddle time !
 
Chewy is always chewing my sleeve, necklace, belt well basically anything, hence his name ;D

Don't think it is anything to worry about it is just 1 of your piggies little habbits just check that his teeth are ok and not too long O0
 
One of mine tugs on my sleeve, I am very cautious now cos one time she missed my sleeve and tugged on my arm instead!
 
Must be a piggy thing, Honkalula did it to the belt on my dressing gown yesterday, I put it down to the fact she could smell Honkey on me.
 
Poppy did it when she was younger but has grown out of it :) never had that problem with maisy or cookie though xx
