Hi
I cover my pigs cage with a blanket overnight to keep some warmth in
This morning I pulled the blanket away but must not have checked carefully because the pigs could reach the label! My two older girls have been chewing it through the bars and about half the label is gone!
I know that Guinea pigs are notorious chewers but I’m just worried about their gut! Will they be okay?

Hi

I would not worry. We've never seen any real trouble with chewed soft labels in nearly 20 years on here. Piggy digestion is wired to cope with some pretty tough stuff.

Oh piggies are always hell bent on eating what they shouldn’t. Most labels have been chewed off the blankets, bath mats and houses in my girls’ cage. They’ve never come to any harm.
