Just wondering what chew toys does everyone else uses.

I've tried the small willow balls with a lot of success but didn't like them in the end as one of the twigs ended up nearly scratching Flashes eye, :yikes: so I took them out.

The large willow balls they dont seem to touch at all.....

I've also tried those fruit wood chews & willow sticks.............they dont bother. :mal:

I'm interested in those ones that dangle from the top of a cage :)) .

Are they any good and do your piggies use them? :hmm:

Could anyone recommend some of those to me, can you use the ones suitable for birds?

Thanks to everyone in advance :)) :))

mine don't bother with toys that are designed for them. If you really want to buy something the carrot cottages seem to go down well and wilkos appear to be selling these now as well. Other than that toilet roll inners stuffed with hay and a few herbs usually keeps mine entertained (at least until they have dug all the herbs out) :))

:lol!: It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's piggys turn their noses up at chew toys

@Lady Kelly on a serious note...have you had any problems with their teeth without chew toys?

No chew toys do nothing for their teeth. Hay is the key there, even if they gnawed the toys it wouldn't wear their back teeth just the front ones. Lets put it this way... piggies in the wild wouldn't have chew toys

That's true enough!

Mine like toilet roll inners. Thinking of getting them a cardboard cottage for the run. There is not a lot of space left in the hutch with everything else that is in there when all 5 piggies are in too. It's only at night or when its raining that everyone is confined to barracks though. As the girls are out 1 day, the boys out the next. Would a cardboard cottage work in the run?

Mine get natural safe branches as their main chew toys. They also like small animal pumice chews and wicker.

My lot like Seagrass tunnels, carrot cottages, Seagrass treat baskets, wicker balls, toilet roll infers filled with hay...and they ignore chews

My piggies do not bother with chew toys either not even the apple branch chew sticks I bought them. They wont even chew up a brown paper bag.

my piggies chew their own furniture (in plastic), then a wooden fence I use for limiting their area during floor time and enjoyed a lot a branch of a certain tree (I don't know its english name; it is a safe tree for piggies though). When the branch was nibbled enough they stopped playing with it. No interest for toilet rolls, paper bags, balls, things dangling from the top... no interest even for carrots!
But it does not matter... their teeth are okay because what counts is the hay...:)
