One of my guinea pigs, Chet, runs in my hair when I take him out. I would put her across my chest and she would stare at me for a while. Then before I know it she runs really fast up into my hair! Is she trying to tell me something or does she just like my hair?

She might just be trying to hide somewhere because maybe she feels exposed. Try getting a towel or a little blanket or something when you have her on your chest and see if she still does it. That's all I can think of...

Rory just runs to my shoulder and plops his little self down and stretches out, he doesn't bother to go in my hair. :))

Crunchie does it too, thought it was quite sweet untill she weed down my neck ! lol

My girls, especially Charlotte like to tuck themselves under my chin. They just like to snuggle x)

My female piggies do this. I think it must make them feel secure.

all my boars will do anything to get into mine or my sisters hair when she visits, funny thing is its only us two they do it with all i can put it down to is we hve dark brown-black hair so maybe they like the darkness x

Guinea pigs, especially those that haven't been handled much, don't like exposed places and will make a dsh for any kind of cover - even your hair!

My OH finds it very hilarious that "safe" quite often means having the head covered with a big bum sticking out!

we frequently get to see a great big white rex bum sticking out of a snuggle sack :)):)):)):)):))

Dora does this to me too! She seems to have settled a bit but occasionally does a beeline for my hair!
(they both also hide in their boxes and tubes with their bums sticking out, surely a pointless exercse...)

is it hiding, or is it dominance?
arthur will make a beeline for under our chins, but monty insists on being on top of your shoulder, and gets grumpy if you try and put your chin above his!

hope you and all your piggies are coping with the heat wave
B
