The cheepest housing you can ever get is ........... cardboard boxes! 8;) he he! I got one of my mums shoe boxes for the guineas to play in. When the box gets all smelly you can throw it away! See, realy cheap!

If you know of any housing that is cheeper than boxes, please quote!;)

You are right Ziggy. My guinea pigs love cardboard boxes. I cut a hole and put them upside down for them to climb in and out. I also put a fleece at the bottom so they do not get ruined with wee!

Great idea, I am a self confessed shoe addict so my future piggies will be spoiled

glued papers using chemicals ..... no proper ventilation.urine with glue smell.omg.
I recently saw wooden box from wooden net in ikea for 32 pounds.Really big.
You can cover floor with plastic trays and vet bed on the top and will have designer large cage for 50 pounds in total.

Unfortunately that isn't really big enough for one piggie, definately not two. The recomended size for two piggies is around 80x120cm, or 2x4 grids.

My piggie loves cardboard boxes! Not only does she hide in them, but loves throwing them around too. :))

ok you can buy 3 of them and connect them by removing 1 side.100 pounds will have 270cm long cage.
If you turn them and set on side you can have it opened from side.

My boy loves cardboard boxes. I cut two or three large "doors" in the sides for him to run through and make a ramp from fiddlestix for him to get up on top too, he loves to sit up there and watch the world go by :)
