I live in Scampton village, famous for the Dambust
Last night my husband was in the kitchen rustling a bag of curly kale as Snoopy our rabbit had decided to get in the kitchen cupboard underneath the sink - again ::)
little madam and the only thing she will move for sometimes is a bag of curly kale.
The back door was shut and my husband said 'can you hear that? it sounds like birds tweeting'
It was George chirruping and squeaking at the top of his voice :D He must have good hearing as his house and run are inside a stone built garage a good 12ft away from our back door.
I had already topped up the hay and food for the night but I had to give him and Mildred extra servings of veg for effort :smitten:
Anyone would think the little darlings are starved :D

xavier used to do similar things...i'd feed him when i got home from work then i'd go down stairs and feed me! well i think it was things like pasta bags opening and he'd squeak...his loud "i want more...please" squeaks were fine when i was down stairs and things but wow when he and i were both in my room and he decided to do that- i had to tell him to be quiet on several occasions! lol

when people would come round or if i was on the phone the sound of my voice and things he'd get squeaky (loud squeaky!) people would ask me if i was feeding him right! god my guinea pig used to eat more than i do!

hope you rescued the rabbit!

Snoopy the rabbit is fine ;D She's always up to mischief :D George was singing loudly again last night when I went to kiss him and Mildred goodnight :smitten:
I nearly gave in to giving him some more veg but he's already got a backside the size of a house and they had loads of hay and food :) He's just trying it on I suppose
thinking I will melt and go arrr he's singing for his supper ::)

They are so funny aren't they . . . . our guineas are outside, about as far away from the back door as yours are by the sound of it, they hear me opening and shutting the fridge door when I'm getting meals and squeak their furry heads off lol! :smitten: :smitten:

unfortunately i live near what feels like a million cats i couldnt leave my new boys out there, and xavier never liked it out in the cold! bless him.

my 2 are talking quietly to each other now...maybe missing their brothers but they've been with me 24 hours and they are not still hiding in the tube...now its the pigloo!

they were sweet when i just had them outside they were keeping each other warm then i picked one up to go back inside and the 2nd started squeaking for his brother...soooo sweet!
