It is certainly big enough for two boars I'd say! I don't really know about 3 but I'll tag @Wiebke it definitely is bigger then the 120 ferplast cage

Please be warned though that when it comes to boars, trios rarely work, they get on better in pairs and if you're lucky enough to have a trio that works, the bigger the accommodation

The two young boars are not related to the older boar. The reason why I had gotten two younger pigs is because I know that older guineas are more likely to accept younger piggies over older ones and I know that is potentially the best paring for things to be successful when it comes to boys.

I didn't want any sows for cage mates because I felt it would be unnecessary and too stressful to neuter my older boar nor did I want him to go through all of that when I can easily get two younger boys for companionship. All three of them have established a hierarchy and have compatible personalities.

I understand that things are somewhat different with boars but I firmly believe they can do just as well as females providing they have enough space, enough to do and have compatible personalises I have kept three trios of males throughout the years without any problems..

I forgot to add that the younger boars are roughly six months old and the older boar is over one year old.

I'm confused by the dimensions because it says on the top 175cm but then says 113x50x55cm at the bottom?

Me too! I'm tempted to go to the shop at some point and measure the hutch myself.

ive seen them in store & i think they are the size mentioned-the problem i see with it is that apart from the bedroom door, you only have a small opening in the whole of that wire front, its not like a normal hutch that the front opens as well, just a little square. would make cleaning out & catching very hard :-(

Is it possible to look for a 6 or 7 feet hutch, you are likely to get less hassle as the young boars reach adult hood.ive one group of boar trio, but one is 5 years old,i a year, and one that is four months old.it helps having plenty of space.i have a 6 feet hutch from home and roost.Boyles and Rabbit welfare make good solid large hutches.maybe look on ebay for a second hand hutch.i do hope all goes well.

Maybe you could get a couple of second hand hutches and join them together. I've seen on YouTube that someone did this by adding a piece of solid pipe in the middle so the guinea pigs can use the pipe to get into the other cage x
