Ive spent ages trying to source materials to build a C&C cage. Got the grids on ebay but struggling to find sheets of correx big enough that can be delivered.

I've finally cracked, and just ordered a complete 4x3 grid set up with a hayloft. This way I get it sooner rather than later, I know its going to go together properly, comes with suitable ramp made from half a drainpipe with carpet and I can just put the girls straight in it without the pain of major construction work! I've never been any good at DIY, this way I get what I want and the girls get the extra room they want. I can then use the grids I have already got to build a floor and stand for it.

Got to go and break the news to the OH now. I had broached the subject of a bigger cage but not been very specific on how much bigger its going to be, and it was a way off in the future conversation, now its a 7 days from now arrival!

I think this is going to need some sweetening:-)

Where did you get it from? Link please!

I had seen them for sale on http://www.run-rabbit-runs.co.uk/ when I was looking for suppplies. They had taken the page down but I spoke to them and they will make them any size you want. I have also seen ready made on ebay but they didn't have the hayloft.

Well, fingers crossed. Its time for "the conversation". If you don't hear back from me by tomorrow then you know it didn't go well:-)

I cheated and got mine from them too, they advertise on the forum. They were great and the girlies were very appreciative :))

Good luck with the OH -c

do they come ready scored. how do you fix the correx so it doesn't end up flat and it sticks up on the sides?

They come ready cut and scored with double sided sticky tape pre-stuck to one bit so you just fold it up then peel and stick :)

Oooohh cool i got mine from run-rabbit-runs, unfortunatly the ramp wasn't already done for me so goto construct my own somehow :(

I am told it will come with a ramp made from half a drainpipe with velcro so they can grip properly. Not sure how steep it will be though, my girls are used to very shallow ramps in their hutch. I had it made specially so my 5 year old girl Faith could do it easily.

Someone posted a link to an ebay supplier who was making ready made turn back ramps which looked amazing, I might have a go at making one of them with the grids I already have if the ramp is too steep.

not sure if that image will come out so here is the link otherwise: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330360300955&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I chickened out of conversation with OH last night. Was not in receptive mood. Will try again later.
