Hi

We need to buy a new run for my piggies. We currently have a huge rectangular one which my grandad made 10 yrs ago but its sadly falling to pieces despite repair.

So can anyone recommend a good place, online or offline is fine. It needs to hold 3 piggies comfortably. When I've seen them in the past they seem so expensive!

Have you tried Freecycle? There is usually one which is local to you. I got a cage for my Yorkie as he likes to sleep in one off my local Freecycle. It was a bit dusty but in good condition. The best bit about Freecycle is its free!. I don't know what type of run you require, but I have got a eight sided pen, (like a puppy pen) with a net top from Zooplus online. Brill for putting piggies out on the grass.:)

P@H's new range features a triangular run for £39.99 - I did try and get one but athough they are advertising them seems they arent stocking them yet rolleyes

Thanks for the quick replies. I should have been more specific, I mean for outdoors. I'll have a look at freecycle, theres also gumtree now I think about it. My only problem with second had is that it may have infections on it that could be transfered to my piggies? I may have to try and make my own so thanks for that link barmy4boars as they are so expensive!

Hope you find a run or build one.

I'm looking for a run for Monty guinea - My rabbit Leo goes out in his daily, weather permitting and last year the guineas had their turn in the early eves/weekends but think Il get Monty his own run if I can find one. My old guinea one fell to bits after many years.

Trouble is Monty chews everything wooden so it will get chewed quickly!

Free cycle is good, and local papers sometimes have runs for sale cheaply.

I'm going to have a hunt on freecycle / gumtree and as a last resort make one myself, its not difficult but its just finding the time!

try your local rescue. they may have access to wholesalers. I currently am able to get a 5ft x 3ft one and sell with a 15% profit for the rescue for £60.

I got mine from ebay. ill try and dig out the link for you. you would probably have to buy two but the good thing is there are doors to lean in and fetch and they come with the protective netting to go over the top.

looks like this:

and the edges have spokes that can be dug into the ground...

Thanks for this, as the weather is (hopefully) getting better I'm hoping my piggies can go outside for a run! and i was just going to post something similar!
