Changing profile name

I'm thinking of changing my profile name cos Ive noticed there was somebody else with my name! It didnt tell me this when I was registering!

What happens when I do this? Will I lose my record of posts? If so... i thought I should change my name now before I have a higher amount.

I might not change but I was just wondering if anybody knew?
 
I think you just go into your profile, then click on 'account related settings' and you'll see a box called :

Name: YOUR NAME (This is the displayed name that people will see).

You should be able to change it in there and it shouldn't effect your post count...

Thanks for that! I'm not miss piggy anymore! Was a bit confusing seeing someone else with that name! Shouldve known it would be quite popular! But everything is fine and Ive still got my post number! Hoorah!
Got as far as the button to change settings and couldnt do it cos I thought it would make me start from the beginning but it just came over me and I thought 'sod it!' :D
 
Lol.... Hello PiggyLoon!

I noticed that the other day and thought it was strange that 2 of us had the same name! I can only wonder if it was because I had miss_piggy but you can't tell with all names being underlined.

I have only been a member for 4 months and too thought it strange that it hadn't been thought of.

I actually thought it was the original miss_piggy but couldn't understand the low posts :( I mis-read it.

Thanx peeps! I'm addicted to the forum already! :D

In case you havent heard much of me.. I have 2, 1 years old sow piggies called Ruby and Dilys. They are spoilt rotten! They are my first two guinea's.

Ruby - for the obvious reason she has ruby red eyes and 'strawberry blond' hair (well its saffron I think!) ;) She thinks she's the queen of sheba! She can be a lttle madam but she's really funny too! Her popcorning is hilarious! Right little character. I call her Rube for short.
Dilys - I call her Dil most of the time and its Welsh for perfect/genuine. Love the old fashioned names for piggies! She's a bit of a baby and is a bit timid, but she comes out of her shell when is veggie time! More so than Rube. She is a golden self.

Don't mean to be a wally but how do you pronounce Dilys - like dil iss.......... or dil eeeeeeeesss :-\

Hiya! Yep its Dil - iss ;D Sounds like Glynis or Phylis! You're not a wally! The 'y' is in a different place to those names so I guess it can be difficult to pronounce it. Looked it up tho and Dilys is spelt that way and not the other. It's funny when they shout it out at the vets! :D
