Hi all

I am thinking of changing my 3 pigs over to burgess excel as they're on pets at home nuggets at the moment and I'm worried they're bad quality! Does anyone know if burgess is better then pets at home or have any tips on introducing new nuggets?

Thanks!

A lot of people use Burgess, l use Science Selective. I don't like pets at home food. They sell muesli for piggies & hamsters, they shouldn't be on muesli, I think nutritiously they are not good but that's only my opinion. I always have to watch their toys as some are unsuitable.

I know and they sell a lot of dodgy treats as well! They're on the nuggets and not the muesli but again I don't think it's good as it's mostly oats? Thanks for your reply! Have you found science selective to be quite expensive?

It's £5.99 kilo, it lasts ages with my 4. Although I have cut down my piggies nuggets because Tia is getting quite rounded. Nice way to say she's fat.
:lol!:

Haha I don't give mine that many either as Pinky just hogs them all and he got a fat belly too!

P@H are worse quality than Burgess in relation to sugars/molasses I think it is. I think someone here once compared to from switching a child from coco pops to cornflakes :)) If you do change the pellets then start before you run out of P@H nuggets and start by mixing a handful of the new food in with the old. The gradually increase the amount of the new food to make sure the fussy little furballs don't just stop eating
